Located in the historic San Diego Gaslamp Quarter, the Tipsy Crow is one of San Diego’s oldest bars. Housed in the Spencer-Ogden building, a city landmark since 1875, the bar occupies three levels: One for food and drink, one for conversation, and one for dancing.
The Main floor serves up classic bar food from grilled sandwiches to chips and dip to soft pretzels. Sandwiches include grilled cheese, pastrami, BLT and Italian. Cheese plates add a touch of class with prices starting at $5.50. Craft beers and cocktails are also available, although cocktail prices change every 5 minutes based on popularity in the innovative Drink Exchange.
The Nest floor, originally a gentlemen’s club, now serves as a lounge for guests desiring comfortable couches for a good conversation. Other features include two fireplaces, hardwood floors, and a marble mar serving up drink specials all night long. The Nest is also available for private parties from corporate retreats to bachelorette parties.
The Underground floor hosts comedy shows, live music, and DJs. Guests can fill up on food and drink in the upstairs bars then head downstairs for a night of rocking entertainment.
The Tipsy Crow is open Mondays through Fridays from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. The dress code is casual and parking is available throughout the Gaslamp Quarter.
