Beaches of San DiegoNo Comments
When vacationing in the wonderful city of San Diego the selections of beaches to choose from is so extensive one gets the feeling of being a kid in a candy store. Regardless of the amount of time you have set aside for your outing San Diego beaches provide all that you can look for in a beach. You only need to decide what it is you’re looking for. With one month of vacation time at my disposal I was able to compile my very own short list of beaches one should consider when visiting San Diego.
La Jolla Shores Beach- The Shores as it is sometimes called provides all of the requisite amenities you can ask for in a beach. Equally popular among surfers and families, everything you may want or might have forgotten is within a short distance. Restaurants, surf shops, and lifeguards are just some of what La Jolla Shores has to offer. You can even rent a kayak or enjoy the fire rings if you’re still there in the evening.
Oceanside City Beach- The Strand as it has been known is the epitome of beach scenes. Huge stretches of sand, the boardwalk and a pier are all in evidence. The sand shelf slows the flow of the tide so much so that it becomes the perfect place for children to safely play in the water.
Pacific Beach- Just as any beach has its own particular vibe, Pacific Beach is no different. In the mood to rent a bike? No problem. Or you may want to stop in one of the many biker bars. You’ll have these choices and everything in between at Pacific Beach. There are plenty bathrooms as well as ample parking spaces. Pacific Beach is a veritable party waiting to happen for all beach goers.
